One of our hallmark events of the year, Papermill Media created a breathtaking sit-down dinner in one of Melbourne’s most inspiring spaces, The Great Hall in the National Gallery of Victoria, in July this year.

A celebration of art, architecture and the future of development, Papermill developed a sophisticated gala event for over 400 people, to celebrate a year-long partnership between Golden Age Group and the NGV.

Inspired by a portrait of spring and time, Papermill creatively led the installation of five soaring 2.5 metre columns of flowers frozen in ice as one of the event’s centrepieces, representing the intersection of spring in time, while food was served on slabs of slate and marble, raw materials reflecting the beauty of the materiality in Golden Age’s projects. The evening set the stage for a series of conversations between the directors of architecture firms, Bates Smart and FJMT, before guests were blown away by the sounds of violinist Sally Cooper, followed by a discerning supper club at the conclusion of the event.
